Who is Mary tho?
Their origin story is pure Alameda charm. Two longtime best friends—neither of whom is actually named Mary—imagined a space that felt less like a store and more like a gathering place. Local Bay Area Stylist, Tiffany Southwick, and Mosley’s Café owner Scott Cordle dreamed up a home for beautifully curated goods, yes—but also for music drifting through open doors, pop-up markets on sunny afternoons, and the kind of moments that turn neighbors into friends.
In 2026, a third (also not Mary!) joined the fun to help grow the market and event side of the Two Marys’ world. Laura came on board as project manager and all-around doer, helping bring even more local makers, vintage curators, chefs, bakers, and musicians into the fold.
At heart, this market is about community. We’re here to celebrate creative small businesses, champion local talent, and create a space where artists, families, makers, food lovers, and music fans can gather, connect, and feel right at home.
While we work on our events, you are always welcome to stop at the OG Two Marys’ Mercantile brick and mortar location in Alameda’s charming Grand Marina (2021 Alaska Packer Pl Suite 112, Alameda, CA 94501).
